Mutoh’s Vehicle Wrap Seminar March 19-20 had a successful turnout!  Attendees walked away with a plethora of insightful hands on training and experience.  The class was designed to provide the guests with a competitive advantage in the car wrapping business.

Justin Pate’s graphic installation expertise was the cornerstone that taught speedy installation tricks and ways to avoid mistakes. Todd LaBrie, Owner of Carwraps, presented all aspects to effectively produce wraps and earn a large profit.  Read the rest of this entry »

The Roland DG Academy has announced today it is adding a new one day finishing course to its growing portfolio of digital print courses. The new module, titled
‘Basic Application Finishing’ will be taught at the bespoke Roland DG Academy training facility based at Walsall College and is designed to provide sign makers and printers with skills in the basic preparation, application and finishing of a range of vinyl, digital and lamination media. Here’s a quick look at Sandness’s van. This is the first step towards learning vinyl application or vehicle wraps — starting with a small logo and some lettering. You will get in over your head if you try to do a vehicle wrap without educating yourself. But you can’t do much damage on a small job like this one. Kudos to Krumme Designs for a true professional vinyl application.

There’s an inspirational story in the Memphis Business Journal about the success of local sign guys in the face of competition. It features a Fast Signs franchisee and LSI’s Mason Ezzell III.
The story tells how LSI started as a laminator and bindery business but evolved into identification, promotional products and digital printing for signage. Ezzell says his company made a big investment in large format printers when the equipment was expensive. Ezzell sees competition growing, but like his counterpart at Fast Signs, he’s not worried because of reputation and the company’s expertise in vehicle wrapping. Read the rest of this entry »
